A great deal of focus this week has been paid to Lance Armstrong and his interview with Oprah and the years of lying about his doping. Most of the media coverage has been discussing whether or not society will forgive him. I think the better question is why now? Perhaps as he began a New Year he felt a need to empty himself so that he could begin to be filled with something else. And just maybe he got that idea from today’s gospel about the Wedding Feast at Cana? See what I mean.
